Kathmandu: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Sekhar Koirala has emphasized the necessity of a coalition between the Nepali Congress (NC) and the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) for achieving political stability in the country.

Addressing a program organized by Khagendra Nawajivan Special Education Secondary School on Tuesday, Dr. Koirala asserted that an NC-UML alliance would promote good governance through political stability. He revealed that the two major political parties had agreed to govern the country on a rotational basis.

"I have been advocating for a stable government and good governance for quite a while. This objective will be realized with the NC-UML coalition, which is set to make corrections in the constitution and boost the national economy," Dr. Koirala remarked.

He also dismissed the notion of demanding the Prime Minister's resignation, stating that the Prime Minister has the right to face a floor test. Dr. Koirala asserted that the next government would be formed as per Article 76 (2) of the constitution.
